training documents for NHS Lothian

I was approached by the head of Volunteering at NHS Lothian with a dilemma. She needed to make better use of social media to promote and celebrate the work of volunteers in our local NHS board.

This required training, at a range of levels within her staff and within the guidelines and standards of the organisation. However it wasn’t something their in-house communications team could support her with.

As well as delivering in-person training sessions with staff at a range of levels I produced branded reference documents (produced to the specifications of NHS Scotland's brand guidelines) covering strategic and operational considerations from the “press this button, then that button” level required for inexperienced staff engaging with social media on the coal-face, up to high-level strategic pointers for the Head of the service to reference.

The training sessions were very well received and having the three documents to refer back to equips the team to implement that training at all levels.
